We asked you what you wanted and you answered in polls, emails, voicemails, and private messages. We compiled all those responses and we now have our three 4v4 tournaments ready to go. At our last count, we had nearly 200 individual responses on the tournament mode types for MW2 over the last few weeks and here is what you asked for:

Search and Destroy

We are happy with the mix of game types; unique, objective-based modes along side the traditional lay-waste-to-the-other-team deathmatch should provide something for everyone.

If you are familiar with these game modes you will recognize that these are pretty much default rules with very few exceptions, such as in the case of Domination where we removed the “unlimited” timer and placed a 10 minute round-cap. We need to be able to manage the flow of an event and “unlimited” timers tend to cause havoc with scheduling. As always, we will review the number of teams and time we have available and if we can make any changes to enhance the player experience we will.

As a reminder, we have fully unlocked Xbox 360s which means you do not have to bring your hard drives or recover Gamertags – every weapon, attachment, perk, and other gear is unlocked and ready to go. Each player will have time before their match to configure their settings and create custom classes to make it just like playing at home. You will have your own Xbox 360 and monitor – no split screens! Each player will register individually and we will coordinate with you on your team names and members for the tournaments/brackets.
