Extending Registration… Briefly.

We have to pay this guy by the hour so do not sit around any longer than you already have…
Who you? Yes, YOU!
So, here it is June 16 and DEVASTATION is TWO DAYS AWAY and you still have not registered. It seems like a lifetime ago that we opened up registration, in fact, we had a little wager over here as to the exact date we did open registration for DEVASTATION 2010… needless to say yours truly knew that it was January 12th and produced this article link for proof: Online Registration is Open.
Believe us, we get it. There are a few of us over here at Team DEVASTATION that could give the most procrastinating procrastinator a run for his money but we have to drop the deadline hammer here. We need to get you last stragglers registered up and done with so we can make the magic happen. We have taken the calls, read the emails, heard all the excuses as to why you were not able to register – now you need to square up and get registered.
Remember: Go all the way through the registration process and pay (if you are a Player or VIP) and make sure you receive an email confirmation or you are NOT registered.

Media Registration – Get Your Media Badge

Media Badges are still available for members of the press, bloggers, podcasters, and anyone else that wants to cover DEVASTATION this year. Approved Media personnel will have access to Media Tables with power and internet access for the weekend. If you and your staff are interested email us the following information to info@devastationevent.com:
1. Name of Organization
2. Website/URL
3. First, Last and, if applicable, Nicknames of each of the staff members requesting badges
Of course, if you have any questions drop them in the email as well.
Want to sit on The Couch at DEVASTATION?
Posted by: | CommentsAs you may or may not know, we run a Live Broadcast of the entire weekend at DEVASTATION. As a matter of fact, we run one of the best gaming broadcast productions found anywhere. Do not take our word for it, hop on and watch your self this week… we will embed the broadcast on the main page and the Live Broadcast pages here at devastationevent.com.
DEVASTATION is a community event, managed by fans just like you. As such, we work hard to incorporate as many community members into the event production as we can. One of the unique ways we include people is to offer them the chance to commentate on the Live Broadcast. Sure, we do not let everyone up there but we do try and expand our roster of talent; you never know how great of a commentator you may find among the masses.

DEVASTATION 2010 – One Week and Counting

Is it really only a week away?! It sounds almost comical but DEVASTATION kicks off, literally, a week from right now. This time next Friday the doors open and the Live Broadcast goes on the air. Are we ready for this? Are YOU?
The DEVASTATION Team is running almost non-stop on a range of items from printing badges to updating game systems to creating broadcast graphics to weekly bracket trainings. We are doing everything we can to make this an awesome event for everyone who participates either in-person or on the Live Broadcast.
So, what should you (yes, YOU) do?
Well, here are some “to do” items for you to get ready for next week. Whether you are coming to compete or sitting on your couch with your laptop watching the Live Broadcast you should:
1. Bookmark devastationevent.com as we will have the Live Broadcast embedded here.
2. Follow/Like/Bookmark these links for updates, images, and contests throughout the weekend:

3. Complete your online Registration
You are probably asking yourself, why should I register if I am just watching the broadcast? There are several reasons for us, as event organizers, to capture data such as shirt sizes and geographical locations to help plan future events and for you, well, it makes it easier for us to send out prizes and the like if we know how to contact you. If you are just planning to watch the stream, select a “Live Broadcast” registration.
Speaking of registrations, they are really flying in now, which is typical for us as most people wait until the last minute to register, but we still have nearly one thousand incomplete registrations hanging out there. As a reminder, if you have not received a confirmation email stating that you are registered for DEVASTATION 2010 then you are not registered.
Registration closes on Tuesday, June 14th, 2010.
